Our Story
Lake Claire LEED was inspired by Burke Sisco an Ecobroker in Atlanta who wanted the best for his clients. He introduced them to the Hoots Group to help take their turn of the century (last century) home into a sustainable model that others can do as well.
The existing bungalow had much character however it did not have insulation when we first visited it and the mechanicals all needed to be replaced. We are installing spray foam insulation in all of the walls, upgrading the HVAC with a ground source heat pump and adding solar thermal to it as well. With all of these components and other products, along with a green process, we are on track for LEED Platinum. It will the first house in GA to be certified with LEED for Homes, EarthCraft Renovation, and Home Performance with Energy Star certifications.
